Goal: Collaborate with the YCEA team to push creative boundaries for YoCo Connect, Downtown York, and Changemaker magazines. The vision is to create issues that not only captivate and inspire readers but also motivate them to engage with the local community—whether by visiting featured businesses, exploring the arts, or sharing the stories. We want these magazines to be more than just reading material; they should be keepsakes, proudly displayed in businesses and shared widely. Being featured in these issues should be seen as an honor—something business owners, artists, and community leaders feel they celebrated in a creative way.

Proposed Collaboration:

• Magazine Layout & Design

• Fresh, inspired cover designs to increase likelihood the magazine is picked up.

• Unique and engaging design that holds attention and calls readers to action.

• Photography Support

• On-site photography and art direction in collaboration with Cat to find new possibilities for the magazine(s).

• Photo editing / styling to push creative boundaries and personalize articles when applicable.

• Photoshopping to create design elements and new layouts from photos.

• Custom Illustrations

• Custom illustrations designed to enhance the editorial content and features.

• Infographics, creative typography, and unique graphic elements that make articles.

• Collaborations / Design Check-Ins

• To ensure creative direction is met.
